MY FAVORITE FILMS OF 2014

For your viewing pleasure: my favorite films of 2014. I only counted films that had a theatrical or VOD release this year, so some stuff I saw at festivals (like Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter & Infinitely Polar Bear) and late Oscar films (like Foxcatcher & Inherent Vice) will be saved for next year.  Enjoy!

THE BEST DOCS OF 2014 – A VIDEO COUNTDOWN

2014 was another solid year for non-fiction film. We had docs about everything from our food system (Fed Up), to the ongoing same-sex marriage battle (The Case Against 8) to Internet Addiction (Web Junkie) to celebrating the life of arguably the most well-known film critic in the history of the medium (Life Itself).
